Bryan May, AIA/NCARB
Inspired by collaboration with clients, designers, engineers, and others, Bryan brings an interdisciplinary approach to the design process to integrate ideas from all participants. With professional experience from coast to coast on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, he holds a wealth of knowledge that can inform multiple project types.
As Principal, Bryan is involved in all projects. His dedication to client service, innovation, building science, sustainability, and architectural excellence drives the development of the firm. With a passion for embracing developments in technology and staying ahead of the curve, he has incorporated the use of both BIM software and Virtual Reality as part of a normal workflow.
Originally from Vermont with stops in Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Chicago, Bryan now lives in Aspen with his family. Bryan earned a Bachelor of the Arts (BA) in Architectural Studies and Asian Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts and a Master of Architecture (MArch) from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. He is a licensed architect and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) for simplified reciprocity in all US jurisdictions and several foreign countries.
Bryan currently holds an architect’s license in Colorado, California, Virginia, Florida, and Arizona.
Adam Link, RAIA
With nearly twenty years of experience in the field of architecture, Adam has worked on commercial, residential, healthcare, educational, and hospitality projects around in Australia and countless jurisdictions across the United States. His passion for design is matched only by his ability to coordinate, execute, and permit projects in a timely manner.
Prior to joining BMAI, Adam worked for Cloud Kitchens in Los Angeles, Rowland + Broughton in Aspen, BAR Architects in San Francisco, and Woods Bagot in Melbourne, Australia.
Inspired by travel, the outdoor environment, and how design impacts human interaction, Tarryn leads our interior design team. She has over a decade of experience in a diverse range of architecture and interior design projects including national and international government projects. More recently, she has specialized in ground-breaking commercial office interiors for various high-profile clients including the likes of Uber, Pinterest, Cisco, Colony Capital, Softbank, and others.
Maslin Mellick, LEED Green AP
Prior to joining Bryan May Architecture, Maslin worked for Rowland + Broughton, where she was an integral part of several commercial and residential projects from conception to completion. Previously she worked in Boston at Zero Energy Design where she gained experience in passive house design strategies for custom residential homes. Her passion for architecture started when she attended the undergraduate program at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Architecture + Design with minors in Building Construction Technology and Art History. Her passion continued to grow as she studied architecture in Copenhagen, and volunteered as an engineer in Haiti, helping to holistically develop communities. When Maslin realized her passion resided in sustainable design, she obtained a LEED Green Associate certification from USGBC. Maslin brings her passion for sustainability and responsible design to all aspects of the practice.
As a steward to any community she joins, Maslin volunteers both locally and internationally. The urge to explore and educate herself on communities around the world has inspired her to travel, and to Aspen where she can live sustainably while enjoying the outdoors.
