Founded in 2018, Bryan May Architecture focuses on creating engaging, enjoyable, and memorable experiences through a collaborative design process.

Bryan May Architecture was established in 2018. Centered in Aspen, Colorado, we seek to redefine what it means to practice in the field of Architecture.

There are no egos, and there are no negative attitudes. We listen, we collaborate, we approach opportunities with a optimism, and we act with integrity. We strive to impress you with our level of service and new ideas. Approaching each project with a sense of humility, we look forward to all we will learn from the entire team.

With a diverse project portfolio including commercial, hospitality, industrial, and custom residential, Bryan May Architecture is uniquely positioned to bring unique ideas and solutions to any project. We profoundly believe that architecture, landscape, planning, engineering, interior design, history, and local culture are all interdependent. We approach each project with an understanding of its regional and environmental impact as well as the social, personal, and economic needs it must meet. As a result, we create legacy buildings that respond to both culture and place.

We lead each project firmly and confidently, but listen carefully to each and every stakeholder with a sense of stewardship. Listening is the most effective tool in our toolbox. The design and construction process is complex, and each team member has an area of expertise that must be heard and understood. Architects are only piece of the puzzle, and we thrive in a highly transparent, collaborative atmosphere where all ideas are heard, respected, and constructively challenged when necessary.

We are passionate about design and look forward to sharing our excitement with you! Bryan May Architecture creates more than just architecture. We shape our built environment as much as it shapes us. Our primary goal is to cultivate a design process that reinforces lasting, meaningful relationships and always seeks a win-win solution so everyone leaves the table with a positive feeling of accomplishment and, quite simply, the satisfaction of a job well done.

Maslin Mellick, LEED Green AP
Architectural Designer

Prior to joining Bryan May Architecture, Maslin worked for Rowland + Broughton, where she was an integral part of several commercial and residential projects from conception to completion. Previously she worked in Boston at Zero Energy Design where she gained experience in passive house design strategies for custom residential homes. Her passion for architecture started when she attended the undergraduate program at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Architecture + Design with minors in Building Construction Technology and Art History. Her passion continued to grow as she studied architecture in Copenhagen, and volunteered as an engineer in Haiti, helping to holistically develop communities. When Maslin realized her passion resided in sustainable design, she obtained a LEED Green Associate certification from USGBC. Maslin brings her passion for sustainability and responsible design to all aspects of the practice.

As a steward to any community she joins, Maslin volunteers both locally and internationally. The urge to explore and educate herself on communities around the world has inspired her to travel, and to Aspen where she can live sustainably while enjoying the outdoors.
